This one is called U.S.A. 250.
Next month the United States turns 250 years old. Pico felt this occasion required a formal response.
So he replaced the eagle.
The olive branch is for peace. The arrows are for the crows. The shield is borrowed. The banner reads PARROT REPUBLIC, because of course it does. He did not ask permission from the Department of State. He did not feel he needed to.
Pico has always believed that if you are going to represent something, you should do it with your whole chest. He is two years old. The country is 250. He does not see this as a disadvantage — he sees it as energy.
This piece is not in the adventure book. It is its own thing — a limited edition celebrating the semiquincentennial, which is a word Pico cannot say but has tried.
